Opportunities for people interested in computational biology
Members of the Childs Lab predominantly study biology using computers. The lab hires people who have a background in biology, genomics or genetics who either have computational skills or who are willing to learn how to run the programs to analyze genomic sequences, identify genetic differences between plants and discover novel gene networks. The Childs Lab collaborates with a wide variety of researchers including geneticists, breeders, plant physiologists and plant pathologists.
